Carlos Delfino - 2004 Athens Olympics (Argentina)

In a shocking upset, Argentina was victorious in bringing home gold over countries like USA, Italy, Spain, and many more. One notable former NBA player and Piston at that on that team was forward Carlos Delfino. Next to star Manu Ginobili, Delfino averaged 4.8 PPG in Argentina's Olympic run, helping the country earn their only gold medal in basketball.

In his three seasons with the Pistons, Delfino averaged 4.4 PPG and 2.4 APG off the bench. Although the box scores may not show it, Delfino was seen as a important piece in former head coach Flip Saunder's offensive scheme.

Walter Hermann - 2004 Athens Olympics (Argentina)

Walter Hermann played alongside Carlos Delfino on the gold-winning Argentina team in the 2004 Olympics. Hermann contributed a bit more than his teammate Delfino, averaging 6.5 PPG alongside 4 RPG in his four game medal-winning run that stunned Italy.

Hermann was more-or-less ineffective as a Piston, only averaging 3.6 PPG and 1.7 RPG in two seasons after securing a spot on the 2007 All-Rookie Second Team.
