Most of the talk around the Detroit Pistons of late has revolved around Monty Williams and his baffling coaching decisions.

After once again saying he was going to shorten his rotation, he ran out 11 players in the first 13 minutes against the Pacersa and the all-bench unit produced typical results, getting blown off the floor as they have all season.

After trading and cutting some of Monty's favorite players, it seemed like the Pistons were on the right path to tighter, more sensical rotations, but Monty had other ideas and has played guys like Evan Fournier, James Wiseman and Malachi Flynn even though there is little chance they will be on the team next season.

Wiliams can't seem to help himself when it comes to his new toys and he could have yet another player inserted into the lineup tonight.

Is Quentin Grimes playing tonight? Pistons injuries vs. Magic

The Detroit Pistons' injury list is about as short as it's been all season, as it only has Quentin Grimes, who has been upgraded to probable for tonight's game against the Magic.

The Pistons will also be missing Isaiah Stewart, who is serving a 3-game suspension for the Drew Eubanks incident. The timing of this worked out well for Detroit, as Stewart was nursing an ankle injury anyway, but don't tell the league that.

Point guard Markelle Fultz has been ruled out for Orlando, so both the Pistons and Magic will have most of their rosters tonight at Little Caesar's Arena.

The Pistons have lost twice to the Magic this season after splitting the four-game series last year.

Will the Detroit Pistons rotation make sense? Don't count on it

It will be interesting to see how/when/if Monty Williams uses Grimes tonight, who has been a full participant in practice of late. Here's the rotation many fans would like to see:

-Cade Cunningham/Marcus Sasser
-Jaden Ivey/Quentin Grimes
-Simone Fontecchio/Troy Brown Jr.
-Ausar Thompson/Stanley Umude
-Jalen Duren/Mike Muscala

This would make far too much sense and is the most obvious thing to do, so I don't expect Monty Williams to actually run out this rotation, but we can dream.

Even though Muscala was a nice boost to the Pistons on both ends, Monty insists on playing James Wiseman, who he says can help the Pistons defensively even though the team is 14 points worse when he's on the floor vs. when Muscala is, but don't let quantifiable facts get in the way, Monty, use your gut!

I wouldn't be shocked if Williams just adds Grimes into his bloated rotation for a few minutes, uses 12 players again and does a hockey lineup shift before the first quarter is even over.

At some point, the front office might have to step in again, as Williams is ruining any chance the Pistons have to build some momentum and consistency between the guys who will be on the team next season.
