We’re just over a week into the new NBA season, and it’s time for the first Piston Powered NBA Power Rankings of 2015-16.

Now that everybody in the league has played between three and five games, we’ve got a decent idea of who just might be good, bad, and really confusing. The beauty of the NBA is that even most of the bad teams have a compelling feature (key word: most. Sorry Brooklyn Nets, you’re irredeemable at this point), and of course the good teams have a must-see quality, like the scorched-earth bombardment campaign of destruction that is Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors to start this season.

These first power rankings might be the most intriguing of all this season, considering the fact that we’re going to have to use a great deal of conjecture and extrapolation based on tiny sample sizes to gauge just what is what, and I’m excited to have most of these teams be nowhere near where I rank them here by the end of the season.

With all that said, let us delay no further and embrace the chaos that will be the first Piston Powered NBA Power Rankings of 2015-16.
