Who might the Detroit Pistons target in the 2018 NBA draft?
Devonte Graham – Kansas, Point Guard, Senior
While the other players I highlighted so far would require some serious draft gymnastics to acquire, Devonte Graham is projected to be in play for the Pistons at the 42nd pick.
As is the nature of the NBA draft in 2018, Devonte Graham would be projected to go higher if he was younger. At 23 years old, he’ll be passed by a lot of teams for his age. But does that even matter for the Pistons? With their expensive roster, this team should be trying to compete and Devonte Graham would be a great fit.
Graham is known for being an extremely tenacious defender. He also shot above 40% from 3-point range last year and can handle playmaking duties on an NBA offense.
He’s not a flashy pick at all. At 23 years old we likely know who Graham is as a player. But that player is good, so why not draft him? I’d be happy if the Pistons selected him.
