5 bold predictions for Detroit Pistons’ 2019-20 season

2. Andre Drummond makes All-Defensive Team
This one flies in the face of the “Andre doesn’t hustle” crowd.
Andre Drummond has seen his defensive presence and activity go up every single year he’s been in the NBA, and last season was no exception. Last season we saw his steals per game reach a career high 1.7, and his blocks per game was the second best of his career at 1.7 as well.
Drummond was the only player in the NBA who was top 10 in the league in both steals per game and blocks per game last season.
How’s that for defensive effort?
With these numbers showing the strides Drummond has made on the defensive end, he’s sure to only go up from here. He is getting better every year at that end of the floor, and having seen the results of his hard work pay off, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them take off even further. Andre Drummond is a force to be reckoned with, and it could become commonplace to see him on one of the NBA All-Defensive teams; starting this year.
