4. Donta Hall

Donta Hall is an animal. He’s a beast on the boards and his motor is unmatched. This man can dunk over anyone and anything in his path. While undersized for a big man, his combination of length and athleticism can make him a serious problem for other centers. Tacko Fall was a recent victim of a Donta Hall poster.

Hall is one of those guys that never needs a play called for him. He gets all his points on setups from his teammates or on offensive boards. That’s what has led to him having a team-best field goal percentage of 67.1%. He doesn’t try to do things that he can’t do on offense. Although he has launched an occasional three and knocked it down, that’s not part of his game or who he is. He’s a dawg on the boards and a force to be reckoned with on the interior.

On the defensive side of the ball, Hall’s length helps him big time. He’s one of those guys that wants to block your shot as far into the stands as he can. He’s a bit thin for a big man and has seen much of his time at the power forward with the oddly smaller Doumbouya switching to the center position.

Hall is probably more suited at center in today’s NBA, similar to a Montrezl Harrell type guy.

He has been a double-double machine for the Drive and has carried them a lot while Bone has been out. With his averages of 14.0 points and 10.1 rebounds, to go along with 2.4 stocks (steals+blocks), Hall has been the full package for the Drive and has been the defensive anchor they need.

Every once in a while be sure to look above you or behind you, because Donta Hall might be coming to turn you into a poster.
