Detroit Pistons: Trading Derrick Rose to the Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls need a veteran guard and a reason for their fans to watch the games. Derrick Rose could provide both if the Pistons were to trade him back to his home team.

The Bulls are sniffing the playoff picture this year and might feel like a scorer like Rose could get them there.

Also, he is one of the most popular Bulls in history, so fans would tune in just to watch Derrick Rose play, something they are not doing right now in Chicago.

This deal would give the Detroit Pistons two young players on team-friendly deals who can either be roster-filler next season or potential players in the rotation.

Hutchinson is worth a look, as he is another long, positionless wing who could fit into the mold that the Pistons are currently building.

The Detroit Pistons would also get two second-round picks in this deal, so it has the combination of project players and draft assets that the Pistons are likely seeking in a Rose trade.

Could the Pistons send him home? Possibly, but I still think they can do better.
