Detroit Pistons: Turnovers are killing the Pistons

The Detroit Pistons turned the ball over 18 times which led to 18 points for the Washington Wizards. There’s your game.

This is something that has plagued the Pistons all year, as they are just 22nd in the NBA in turnovers, something you can’t afford when your offense is already struggling.

Jerami Grant and Josh Jackson had nine turnovers between them, and you are not going to win many games when your two high usage guys are this sloppy with the basketball.

This has been an issue for Jackson this season and is the thing that is stopping him from really having a the breakout season a lot of Pistons’ fans mistakenly think he’s had.

You can’t average more turnovers than assists in the NBA and that is exactly what Jackson has done.

He’s been much better of late but this is something he will have to improve in the offseason if he wants to get a big contract in the future.

Taking better care of the ball will be a priority for the Pistons going into next season, though they should be helped if they don’t have the constant carousel of point guards in and out of the lineup.
