Detroit Pistons: Possible NBA free agents, point guard Patty Mills

I would love for the Detroit Pistons to get a veteran point guard who can mentor Killian Hayes, Cade Cunningham and Saben Lee and Patty Mills fits the bill.

He is a smart player who has played most of his career for the best coach of all time, Gregg Popovich, so he knows how to play the game and many have talked about him being a potential head coach when he retires.

Mills is still a double-digit contributor off the bench, and I could definitely see him re-signing in San Antonio, but if he hits the market, he’d be a nice fit and would allow Saben Lee to get some more developmental time in the G-League.

Mills is smart, tough and would fit into the Pistons’ culture, but it’s possible he’d be out of their price range depending on their cap situation.
