Detroit Pistons: Trading the #1 pick in the NBA Draft to the Houston Rockets

Houston had to suffer an entire half season after a long run of success and were rewarded with the #2 pick in the NBA Draft. Ugh, some teams have all of the luck.

The Detroit Pistons would only make this trade if they thought Cade Cunningham was not the best player and they could get the guy they liked at #2 while picking up some assets. But does Houston have any the Pistons would actually want?

Is this enough to move off the first pick? If you truly believe that a player other than Cade Cunningham is going to be the best player, then you are potentially getting the best player in the draft, an All-Rookie player in Tate, another first round pick in this draft and an unprotected pick in 2023, which isn’t a bad haul.
