Detroit Pistons: Trading Sekou Doumbouya to the Toronto Raptors

No team has been better at developing raw talent than the Toronto Raptors, whose team is full of guys like Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet, who came out of their G-League and turned into stars.

Siakam is a guy who Sekou Doumbouya often gets compared to, so it makes sense that Toronto could work the same magic with Sekou that they did with Pascal.

Siakam is also likely to be out for the beginning of the season after undergoing offseason surgery, so Doumbouya would give them some insurance.

It really depends on whether the Raptors see themselves as playoff contenders or not. They are going through a soft rebuild after letting team icon Kyle Lowry walk, but they also have a talented young core that could be good in the East.

Either way, the Raptors might be willing to take on a development project, they have some cap space and Doumbouya might fit an immediate need.
