Detroit Pistons: 3 more sophomores off to slow starts

Immanuel Quickly- New York Knicks

Quickley is averaging about half of what he did last season through the first four games for the Knicks. His minutes are down to 14 per game and he has not shot the ball well so far. Quickley’s role hasn’t changed so he should get back on track once his shots start falling.

Jae’Sean Tate- Houston Rockets

Tate was probably the biggest surprise on the All-Rookie team, as he came out of nowhere and wasn’t a guy who was on anyone’s radar. His sophomore season has actually started pretty well, as he is getting more rebounds and assists in fewer minutes, though his scoring has dipped slightly.

Tate ultimately profiles as a role player, so an uptick in rebounds and assists is exactly what the Rockets are looking for from him.

Tyrese Haliburton- Sacramento Kings

Haliburton has pretty much kept going where he left off from last season, though his scoring has dipped slightly. He is playing more minutes and has seen his assist and rebound numbers go up slightly as well. Haliburton looks like a solid player, but does he really have another level or is this what he’s going to be?
