The Wizards would love to add a dynamic guard to pair with Bradley Beal, so they move up two spots to take the 8th pick from the Pelicans and select Dyson Daniels.
His size, defense and playmaking would be great next to Beal, and the Wizards would also pick up bench scorer Devonte’ Graham as well as an additional second-round pick.
The Pelicans don’t really need to add another pick, but get to stay in the top-10 while adding KCP, whose defense and 3-point shooting is a much better fit than the undersized Graham.
I really like this trade for both teams, and the Pelicans would definitely trade back if they could pick up a better fitting talent and still stay in the top-10.
