Until the February trade deadline is here, the Detroit Pistons will continue to be mentioned in trade rumors involving Bojan Bogdanovic.

The Bogdanovic trade rumors have touched just about every contender (and some pretenders), as we’ve heard about the Bucks, Suns, Mavericks, Hawks and Lakers among others.

This may just be wishful thinking on their parts, as the Detroit Pistons have held firm that they don’t want to trade Bogdanovic and aren’t going to do so for what Zach Lowe called a “crap pick.”

Most of the proposed deals have involved just that, as teams think the Pistons will eventually buckle and give up Bogdanovic for what will likely be a late first-rounder.

If you are interested, here are some of the possibilities we’ve looked at so far:

The Lakers are the team that has been attached to Bogdanovic for the longest, and it seems as if they are in a game of high-stakes chicken with the Pistons, as the Lakers don’t want to give up a first-round pick without protections and Detroit has repeatedly said they won’t take a pick that has them.

But the Lakers are getting desperate, and their chances of making a playoff run this season are dwindling with each loss, as they are currently just 19-23, good for 13th in the Western Conference, a game outside the final play-in spot.

The right move could put them in the mix, especially once they get Anthony Davis back, which is why one insider thinks the Lakers may be looking for more than just Bojan Bogdanovic.
