Detroit Pistons: Trading Bojan Bogdanovic to the Cleveland Cavaliers

In his days with Brooklyn, LeVert was thought to be one of the better up and coming shooting guard/wings in the game, averaging 18 and 20 in back to back seasons for the Nets.

But injuries really derailed his career and he has bounced around, finally landing in Cleveland, where he is currently averaging 12.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists on 41 percent shooting from the field and 37 percent from long range.

They aren’t numbers that are going to excite Pistons’ fans, especially when compared to Bogdanovic, who is just shy of joining the 50/40/90 club and scoring over 21 points per game.

LeVert also doesn’t significantly help the Pistons’ biggest need, which is defense, though he would be an upgrade. He’s also on an expiring deal, so the Detroit Pistons would have to get something else in return.

Would this be enough?

I think Cavs fans would jump at this in a heartbeat, which tells me it’s probably not enough to move Bogdanovic, especially when you consider LeVert will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

If there were a protected first thrown into the mix, I think it’s a much different story, but for now, let’s play Devil’s advocate.
