Detroit Pistons: 1 possible trade with every playoff team in the West
The Detroit Pistons have remained quiet at the trade deadline so far, but that could all change over the next couple of days.
The big NBA news has been the Kyrie Irving trade, which came out of nowhere and will clearly have an effect on the market.
Teams may be in a wait-and-see mode with Kevin Durant, though Brooklyn says they remain committed to building around him, but the deal could also prompt teams in the Western Conference to make moves after Dallas theoretically improved.
Playoff teams in the West will be scrambling to make deals to keep up with the Mavericks, especially those who may be eyeing a first-round playoff battle with Dallas.
We already looked at one possible trade with every playoff team in the Eastern Conference, but the West may be where the action is at the trade deadline.
For these purposes, we’ll leave out the play-in teams, though the Timberwolves, Warriors and Pelicans are all teams that could deal with the Detroit Pistons as well.
Detroit Pistons: Trade with the Dallas Mavericks
Are the Mavs done dealing? They could still make a run at Bojan Bogdanovic or Alec Burks, but it seems more likely that they will make smaller moves if they continue to deal.
The Mavs have reportedly inquired about Nerlens Noel, who is younger and a better defender than Powell, though Noel hasn’t played much this season.
Any deal involving Bogdanovic, or both Bogs and Noel, would almost certainly have to include Davis Bertans, a contract the Detroit Pistons want no part of, even if it came with a first-round pick, so something low impact like this is more likely.
