2 Pacers named as possible trade targets for the Pistons
For the 6th season in a row, the Detroit Pistons are going to be at the heart of mid-season trade rumors.
Like in seasons past, the Pistons have veteran players on short-term deals that other teams might want, and with a new team president in charge, we could even see some of the young players moved, so there will be plenty of speculation.
It has already begun, as Bleacher Report recently named a “dream” trade target for every team.
Detroit Pistons rumors: Trade targets and the Indiana Pacers
They named Isaiah Stewart, Tobias Harris, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Jaden Ivey as possible Pistons to be traded. I would also add Malik Beasley to this list, as he is an elite shooter on a lowball, one-year deal that would be easy to flip.
Stewart has been involved in myriad trade rumors going back to last season, as he is on a reasonable long-term deal and would be a nice backup big man on a contender.
Harris is more likely to be dealt after this season when his expiring contract will look more appealing to contenders, but it’s possible that timeline could get sped up, as he isn’t owed long-term money either way.
Tim Hardaway Jr. And Malik Beasley are veteran shooters on expiring contracts, so at the very least, we’ll be hearing their names in plenty of trade rumors.
Ivey was somewhat surprising, though his long-term fit is questionable and Langdon wasn’t the one who drafted him.
B/R also named some possible targets for the Pistons that included two young players from the Indiana Pacers, but are either of them good fits for Detroit?
