Morris’ outlook

More from PistonPowered

This summer, Morris signed a two-year deal with a player option in year two. His player option is a safety net in case he has a poor first season in Detroit. Being one of the key pieces off the bench for Detroit could be a good jumpstart to get his career back on track, similarly to what his brother did in the Motor City. Marcus had his top two seasons in Detroit points wise, then joined the Celtics and got his pay day this season getting $15 million from the New York Knicks.

Markieff could definitely get his career back on track after his neck injury this season and get back to being a double digit point per game scorer. A pick-and-pop or pick-and-roll with Morris and  Rose will be one of the keys to the Pistons going to the playoffs in back-to-back seasons.
