Detroit Pistons draft: Options for the 36th pick

Forwards

There might be more high-ceiling talent available at the forward position, with two guys in particular who might interest the Detroit Pistons if they fall to the 36th pick.

Patrick Baldwin Jr.: Baldwin Jr. is one of the most intriguing players projected to go in the second round in my opinion. He was a top-5 recruit when he joined mid-major Milwaukee to play for his dad who was the coach there.

He ended up getting hurt and has had some injury problems already in his young career. He only played 11 games and put up pedestrian numbers in the Horizon League, but this is a guy who was once thought of as one of the best prospects in his class.

He has legit size at 6-foot-10 and a really nice looking shot. If he falls to the Pistons, I would be happy for them to swing for upside here.

David Roddy: Roddy is a 6-foot-6 forward out of Colorado State who just completed his junior year and is 21-years-old. He is physically ready to play in the NBA now, as he is big and strong, but there are some questions about his athleticism against NBA-level players. But Roddy plays with energy, can score from all three levels and shot 43.8 percent from 3-point range this season. He can play both forwards spots and has a little bit of a post game as well.
